Privacy Policy
Super File Tools takes user privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your information and the basics you should know when you use the service.
Last updated:2026-09-28
1. About the service
This website is operated by the Super File Tools operator (referred to as "we").Super File Tools is an online file and utility tool platform offering common features such as format conversion, image processing, text processing, and code tools.
This policy describes only what the service actually does at this stage. As features are added or the deployment changes, we may update this policy and mark the latest date at the top of the page.
2. How files are processed
Depending on how a given tool is implemented, your file is handled in one of two ways:
2.1 Processed locally in your browser
Most tools — for example JSON formatting, image and text processing, and most PDF tools — run entirely in your browser. For these tools, your file content generally does not need to be uploaded to our servers for the conversion to complete.
You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the "Network" panel, and use such a tool. Your original file content is not sent to a remote server.
2. When server-side processing is required
A small number of features — such as Word to PDF and certain format conversions — must be computed on our servers. For these tools we state clearly on the tool's own page that the file is sent to the server for processing, and describe how it is handled.
Word to PDF is the server-side conversion tool in the current implementation. The .docx file you upload is temporarily transferred to our server for conversion; the application layer does not currently store the original file or the generated PDF in persistent storage. Once processing finishes, the result is returned to your browser in the response.
3. Website access data
Like most websites, when you visit Super File Tools the server or the underlying infrastructure may record common technical request information in order to serve pages, prevent abuse, troubleshoot faults, and keep the service secure. This typically includes:
- IP address;
- browser User-Agent;
- request time;
- request path;
- HTTP status code.
The exact logging configuration, retention period, and handling method depend on the actual deployment environment and follow the principle of data minimisation. We do not retain or correlate these logs for long periods without a legitimate purpose.
4. Cookies and local storage
We currently use no advertising or marketing cookies that would require your consent, and we do not track your behaviour on third-party websites through cookies.
Some tools or features may use browser local storage technologies such as localStorage to improve your experience, for example:
- your light/dark theme preference;
- temporary data you create or edit in the browser (flashcards, sample content, and similar).
This data stays on your own device, and you can delete it at any time by clearing site data for this website in your browser.
5. Third-party services
This website may use open-source components or third-party static assets, such as fonts, icons, and utility libraries loaded via a CDN. Those resources are provided by their respective third parties and are governed by their own terms.
We will refine this description as part of our upcoming deployment and external dependency audits. At this stage we prefer not to invent a specific list of third parties or describe handling methods we have not verified.
6. File security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data in transit, based on what our deployment can actually deliver. No online service can promise absolute security, however, so we recommend that you:
- avoid uploading or processing highly sensitive or specially protected information;
- keep a backup of the original before processing an important file;
- use the service over a secure network connection.
7. Use by minors
Minors should read these terms with guidance from a parent or guardian, and avoid processing content that may involve personal privacy or legal risk.
8. Policy updates
As features, deployment, or legal requirements change, we may update this Privacy Policy. The updated policy will be published on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be updated at the same time. Significant changes will be called out in the body of the policy.
9. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, or want to reach us about your data, a contact address will be published before commercial operations begin.
This policy only describes our current-stage practices and does not constitute formal legal advice. Before formal commercial operation we will review it against the real operating entity, the server deployment location, and the actual shape of the service.
